What is La Craie?
The term La Craie translates from French to the English term the Chalk. These wines emphasize the white clay loam soils of Chateau Felice and the Chalk Hill Appellation, while highlighting the traditionally French flavors favored by the vintners.

The La Craie wines are new to Chateau Felice. Created by winemaker Tami Collins and proprietors Barry and Phyllis Rodgers, these wines exemplify the quality of Chalk Hill fruit and the talent of our winemaker. After just a week in the bottle, the 2006 Euphoria took a gold medal at the Harvest Fair, while the 2006 Tall Woman took a silver medal. In January of 2009, the San Francisco Chronicle awarded a gold medal to the 2006 American Celebration.
